Wisconsin Court of Appeals Reverses Denial of Return of Firearms

Today a firm client won a case at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. The client’s firearms had been seized by the police and he petitioned the court to order their return. The court denied his petition because he did not have receipts or other documentary evidence of his ownership. The Court of Appeals reversed, ruling that the trial court applied the wrong standard and must hold another hearing.
